Lush Have A Makeover
Date Posted:11/05/2011
Get ready to celebrate the re-opening of LUSH Watford’s new look store. On Wednesday 18th May, Lush Watford invites you to their re-opening party. Come down from 11am to 6pm to the store for a scent-sational day of party fun.
Lush compounders will be in store demonstrating just how Lush make their best selling Dorothy and Amandopondo bubblebars and Sex Bomb ballistic with customers free to join in. And no party would be complete without drinks and nibbles and customers can sit back and relax with staff on hand to offer complimentary skin and hair consultations and hand massages from the new consultation area.
Self-appointed cosmetics grocer LUSH is the ultimate beauty delicatessen. Think handmade, natural and fresh merchandise; large rounds of gorgeously fragranced and unique soap; shower jellies so mouth wateringly tempting they smell good enough to eat; facemasks so fresh with raw ingredients including fruit and vegetables they have to be kept on ice; a vast skin care range; Fair Trade products and of course the infamous fizzing bath ballistics, originally invented by Lush, which are like no other.
As well as pioneering the freshest ever cosmetics, Lush has an ecological message. Products are suitable for vegetarians and those suitable for vegans are clearly marked. Nothing is tested on animals and both packaging and preservatives are kept to a minimum.
The ‘New Concept’ shop design, central to which is a country kitchen table consultation area, is where customers are encouraged to sit down and discuss their skincare needs with one of Lush’s expert consultants. This new look really takes things ‘back to basics’, encouraging a laid-back shopping experience, with friendly expert advice. There is a real simplicity to the design, with clean lines that highlight the beautiful products, rather than compete with them.
It has always been important to Lush to ensure that the customer gets high quality produce they enjoy using and that create the effects they want. The new concept advocates this by allowing Lush staff to sit with customers, spend time with them, find out what they need and give it to them.
A lot of thought has also gone into the environmental impact of our shops. For example all of the wood we use has been sustainably sourced (ie, from sustainably managed forests), we use low toxic paint and we are reducing our use of MDF by using black paint to create the blackboard look instead. The new concept is due to be rolled out across Lush shops nationwide.
We look forward to seeing you in our new look store for a Re-Opening Party on Wednesday 18th May from 11am
